My views on "... The nexus" Roleplay..
Some players like to be able to move their characters back and fourth between medieval fantasy and modern settings. Personally? I find this a retardedly lazy explaination, and I do not appreciate a setting I roleplay in being so casually disrespected as not being self-contained.
Just because it's what you've always done, doesn't mean you aren't disrespecting other people's continuity. And just because you have a long, 10+ year history of doing it ... doesn't mean your entire history is good writing.
If you're going to do it? Please -- don't mention or thought emote about 'modern' things, like New York, or the Dallas Cow Boys, or Guns -- or whatever in chat-rooms I'm moderating. I'd like people to respect people's settings, and invest themselves in places where they choose to roleplay -- it isn't that hard.
Help protect other people's suspension of disbelief, their fantasy while you're drifting into other people's RP worlds.
Thank-you.
