The Bended Knee:
Medieval Tavern, and Inn

The Bended Knee is a tavern in the middle of a large, morally dubious medieval fantasy city called 'Llorkh'. Set on an unnamed side-street that intersects with Market-Way, the sign-board beside the strong oak door depicts a dark-haired, wind-blown woman, bare-foot and bare to the waist in a loose linen skirt, kneeling with her hands resting upon the hilt of a sword before her.
The tavern's interior is rustic but comfortable, with well-crafted furniture, fur and leather dressings, and a long bar. The tavern itself is decorated in wall-rings, chains, and fur is draped over every chair and bench. Some of the chains suspend open shackles, others lanterns and other light sources.
As is not uncommon in the City of Llorkh, The Bended Knee is tended by several of the owner's slaves, which are available for serving meals, drinks, and sitting in the laps or laying in the beds of the inn's guests.
The Owner of The Bended Knee is a tall, broad-shouldered and domineering woman named 'Falme' who is a part-time warrior and adventurer and rumored to be of the faith of a Goddess named Loviatar.
